It's Spring Time Sports Fans, and that means Spring football! For those of you who don't know us, our team is FULL of sports fans - even if some root for the wrong teams, but we digress.
During Spring football, both athletes and coaches are working hard to become the best they can possibly be. For athletes this means lots of workouts and practices to push their bodies to the next level. For coaches this is a time to asses your team's strengths and weaknesses and start researching ways to improve and stay ahead of the game.
When thinking about Spring football this year, I started drawing some parallel's to what pharmacies are doing within the industry. Specifically thinking about Clemson - the undefeated champs in the 2019 College Football Playoffs. For the past several years, Clemson coaches have gotten together with other teams in Nevada, Texas, and Ohio with the goal of learning from what those other team coaches are doing and sharing ideas on ways to motivate and improve their team. Think about that - the national champions, who won their game by 4 touchdowns, still finds value and indispensable knowledge and experience in collaboration with other teams. So we thought - if they can, why can't we.
There is so much collective knowledge and power in the pharmacy world, and we have talked with so many pharmacy owners over the years who yearn to be a part of a similar style collaboration. By pooling our vast knowledge and experience, we can change the face of pharmacy. Especially since we all face the same challenges - PBMs, reimbursements, chains and misconceptions to name a few.
