Maximizing Employees

Posted by Benjamin Coakley on Wed, Apr 18, 2018 @ 12:00 AM

Over the years of working with pharmacy owners across the country, we have found that, for the most part, pharmacy employees are the most underutilized asset available. This isn't because they aren't knowledgeable or good at their jobs, but because they aren't always working to their full potential.

While part of that may be due to the individual employee's work ethic, we have found that there are a few things that owners and managers can do, to help boost the performance and productivity of their team.

Getting the  most out of your employees doesn't have to be difficult or cost you money. Check out the video below to learn about some new ways you can maximize your employee output.

In addition to the items listed within the video, here are some other tips and tricks for maximizing employee performance.trophy-clipart-trophy_golden

  • Set clear, measurable, goals for them to achieve each quarter/year.
  • Celebrate and recognize achievements and performance above and beyond. In a recent study by Robert Half International Inc., it was found that as many as 80% of the American work force is dissatisfied with their jobs. A major cause of the dissatisfaction was employees feeling under appreciated in the job he or she does.
  • Show your employees that you believe in their abilities and potential and use positive reinforcement to keep them motivated.

As many of us can attest to, the difference between a good job and a bad job, or a good boss and a bad boss, is exponential. Studies have shown that happy employees are more productive, produce greater sales, are more fully engaged and are less likely to take sick days.
