It is becoming more common for us to see retirement plans where the owners are not able to fully fund their portion because it is tremendously expensive because of the employees.  We have a special retirement plan design that may allow you (the owner) to maximize your contributions in a very efficient way for the pharmacy cash flow.  We believe that this is one way you should be rewared for taking the risk of pharmacy ownership.  This site is dedicated helping you create a more efficient benefit for the company and fulfill your responsibilities for being a plan sponsor.

Pharmacy 401k plans are a great way to save money and provide a benefit to your employees. Please visit the website at www.pharmacy401k.com to learn more.  Below is Waypoint's blog dedicated to pharmacy 401k plans and retirement planning for pharmacy owners.

Pharmacy401k: How I Found My Passion for Community Pharmacy

As I began searching for “what I wanted to do when I grew up”, I struggled to pinpoint a field I could really feel excited about. During college at East Tennessee State University, I ended up finishing with a BS in Business Administration. Like most new college grads, I wanted to find a career where I could make a difference in the world, but I also needed an income, so I started in banking. I moved to commercial sales and then to retail management where I gained an appreciation and a lot of respect for small business owners. Although these positions were critical in my career path, I did not feel particularly passionate about any of them.

As my journey continued, in my early thirties, I came across a company called Waypoint. I instantly recognized Waypoint as a company that was making a difference, and saw that it was built on honesty, integrity and a passion to succeed by helping others succeed. Their mission is to truly serve independent pharmacies.

Being from a small town myself, I have witnessed firsthand how independent pharmacy owners make a difference in the community.  Today more than ever, many people are dependent on their community pharmacy not just for medications but for essential knowledge and advice. Despite this, it’s becoming increasingly challenging for independent pharmacies to survive due to low reimbursements and insurance regulations. I’m not just talking about short-term survival, I’m talking about ensuring the viability of community pharmacies for future generations.

By joining the Waypoint team in serving pharmacies, I’ve found most independent pharmacy owners have the wrong type of “life after pharmacy” plan. This is why we created Pharmacy401K. In managing this program, my passion for helping pharmacy owners optimize their future continues to grow. And, by helping them maximize their savings, and improving their ability to attract, retain, and reward their most valuable employees, my sense of fulfillment and purpose is strengthened.

I enjoy assisting pharmacy owners in discovering what plan works best for them and ultimately increasing their personal financial success. I really get fired up when I can show a pharmacy owner options they didn't know where available for retiring on their own terms while ensuring their pharmacy remains independent.

I understand the importance and have a passion to keep independent pharmacies alive and well.

Although it took time, I have found my passion and I am looking forward to an exceptionally great year in 2017!
